Chris McNally and Aimeé Teegarden Talk Romance, Laughter and Those Shorts in Love Finds You
A mislabeled package, an unexpected partnership and a citywide search set the stage for Hallmark Channel’s newest romantic movie, Love Finds You, starring Chris McNally and Aimeé Teegarden.
McNally and Teegarden joined Suspenders Unbuttoned Media to discuss the connection between their characters, the movie’s message about letting go of expectations and why viewers may find themselves laughing just as much as they are rooting for the romance.
An Unexpected Delivery
Love Finds You follows Alex, a jewelry designer who becomes convinced that a package delivered to her by mistake could lead her to her ideal man. Her search brings her together with Jack, the delivery driver responsible for the mix-up, and what begins as a simple attempt to correct a mistake quickly becomes something much bigger.
Jack may initially be trying to complete his delivery, but Alex soon captures his attention.
“I think he’s intrigued by her,” McNally explained. “She’s feisty and has a lot going on.”
The friction between Jack and Alex helps create the movie’s humor while also giving their connection room to develop. As the two navigate the city together, their original mission gradually gives way to a more personal journey.
Letting Go of Expectations
Beneath the movie’s playful premise is a story about examining what we think we want and recognizing when those expectations no longer serve us.
For Alex, that means confronting the compromises she has made for other people and becoming more honest about what she wants from her own life. That journey culminates in a memorable bonfire scene centered on releasing the past and making space for something new.
“It’s about letting go of what doesn’t serve you and bringing in what you really want,” Teegarden shared.
Although the story begins with Alex searching for the person she believes may be her perfect match, her adventure with Jack encourages both characters to look beyond their assumptions about love.
Friendship and the Power of Sisterhood
Romantic love is not the movie’s only meaningful relationship. Alex is surrounded by a supportive group of women who encourage her to take chances, have fun and reconsider the choices she has made.
“Nothing beats a good crazy girls’ night with fire and wine,” Teegarden joked.
Those friendships give the movie an added sense of community and remind viewers of the importance of having people who encourage us to want more for ourselves.
Is Jack Actually a Good Delivery Driver?
Of course, one question had to be answered: How highly should viewers rate Jack as a delivery driver when one of his mistakes launches the entire story?
The answers were decidedly mixed.
“If you can deliver my package, five out of five!” McNally joked.
Teegarden was slightly less generous, suggesting that Jack might earn a lower rating at the beginning of the story, but that Alex ultimately helps him become a better delivery driver.
Whether his professional rating improves remains to be seen, but his mistake does deliver Alex somewhere neither of them expected to go.
Why Viewers Should Watch
Love Finds You combines romance and self-discovery with an adventurous premise and plenty of lighthearted moments.
“People should watch Love Finds You if they need a little more laughter in their life,” the stars shared.
